Foundation Norman Macrae - The Economist's Unacknowledged Giant ; our family wants to help stimulate projects that connect the most amazing colaboration technology with youth job creation. Quite simply we wish we could help peopels everywhere celebrate Norman's definition of the purspose of economics- investing in the productivity of the next generation out of every place

tell us if you have ideas or indeed projects that can be associated with with Norman's valuation and joy of entrepreneurial revolution

these are our starting points

identifying club of 100 leaders http://yclub100.com/ who most believe 2010s can be youth's most productive decade

surveying top 50 projects of pro-youth economists like Nobel Laureate Dr Yunus and seeing if he wants collaboration help with any of them - for example we convened the dr yunus 70th bitrhday wish weekend at Glasgow in sumer 201 - and 3 journals of job creating economics have started to emerge from that

We have made 8 delightful visits to Grameen in Dhaka and wonder why Bangladeshis on the 40th birthday of their nation are currently being ordered to tell Yunus to retire from banking for the poor

But then our experince of innovation is that involves far more conflict resolution than professors etc imply. We side with Harrison Owen's Open Space model which posits that the world's greaset advances ofr humanity occur when warring sisdes connected by the same passion come together to see how chnage things in a ay that everyone can be more productive.

Some of our projects are necessarily below te radar- if we could influence the bbc we would have a 5 minute good news slot every day searching out who had empowered youth to get working on what milennium goals- suddenly te good news is that the BBC's correspondent in Brussels may have a lot to report http://entrepreneurialunion.com/

we hop to chalenge those corporatiosn who do billion dolar ad campaigns at the olympics - to why note transfer one ten thosandth of that budegt to promoting youth1000 job brainstorming competions - currently the most economic to get job creating we know of - see our leagure table at http://entrepreneurialrevolution.blogspot.com/

did you keep in touch with whomever led the spanish-speaking womens movement that awarded mrs begum a UN prize 2 year ago; and if so was she also connected with the emergence of UNwomen . I ask partly because a coordinated change-world-leading approach supporting yunus has been absent from womens movements both in current crisis and actually since I have first know him.

If we can't help put together such a network in the run up to queen sofia hosting madrid world microcreditsummit then it seems to me we dont know how to actionably network for millennium goals -not in a way that can practically compete against the opposing macro forces that people like sheikh hasina link in to

MORE FIRST JOBS

- a first job of such a network could be to celebrate with brazil's (female) prime minister the upcoming announcement of brazil's poverty alleviation program wiith microcredit at its centre; a womens review of microcredits in s.americas would also be a prime topic for the special issue of the journal of social business targeting publication date for madrid november;

through sarkozyassuming the new IMF leader is chrstine lagade, the world of yunus women group should be in her diary on day 1-

this sort or article suggest she will immeditaly have to listen to asian voices but that makes it vital they are micro-up female ones not the usual suspects of macro-down males

12 MODEL MICROCREDITS

Dear Professor Latifee

Zasheem tells me deadline is imminent of issue 2 of Journal of Social Business. I recommend that a back page of journal is used to feature a growing list of model microcredits around the world of grameen trust and loyal friends of yunus economics.

If we start with 12 now- a much fuller list could appear in issue 3 which is the specail issue being published at time dr yunus testifies to us congress as genius pro-youth economist

(In its first 50 years The Economist used its back pages to update key refernce data and I feel journal of social business can gain from going likewise. While I would like to see a social business catlaogue emerge, I assume that right now: microcredits are already a more established listing)

Here’s a guess of what could be an exciting world tour of 12 microcredits

Bangladesh Grameen

Mexico Grameen Carso

35 model agriculture markets of wholeplanetfoundation

Kenya Jamii Bora

China – please choose one

India- please choose one

Pakistan KASF

Turkey TGMP

USA Grameen America

France ADIE

Bolivia and region Pro Mujer

Philippines CARD

Obviously you would need to edit this list as I am only making guesses. Nor is 12 a sacred number. FINCA might be a candidate to be included; I have a feeling that KIVA's Flannery would like to dicsuss how to help yunus more but I don know who is animating that dialogue

If you approve of this idea please correspond direct with zasheem and his glasgow/adam smith editorial team so that it is actioned

best
